Now part of the SkiEssentials family, the business formerly known as Basin Sports was the oldest in Killington, opening ten days before Killington Ski Resort, on December 14, 1958. For more than sixty years, Basin Sports was a leading mountain-sports retailer, and throughout its long history of brand changes and acquisitions, it never wavered in its commitment to outstanding customer service.
In August 2022, Basin Sports joined the SkiEssentials family of brands, a staple of the ski industry since its founding in Stowe, VT, in 1984. Our goal is to carry forward the strong Basin legacy of welcoming customers into the outdoor community and delivering excellent service, while enhancing the overall experience through our online reach, a broader assortment of brands, fun events, and more.
As much as we love getting customers into the perfect gear, there’s one thing we love just as much, if not more. You guessed it: skiing, riding, biking, and enjoying the mountains any way we can.
